The Youth Executive Committee (YEC) is a student-led initiative in Minnesota that partners with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce to support the business community of Brooklyn Center. YEC members are skilled high school students who provide pro bono digital support for local businesses that may not have the budget or staff to manage their online presence. They help create and run social media accounts, build websites, improve basic SEO, and support other digital marketing efforts so businesses can better reach and engage customers. The committee also helps organize and promote events for Chamber businesses, assisting with planning, outreach, and on-site coordination. This creates a win–win partnership where businesses receive high-quality, no-cost support, while students gain real-world experience in marketing, communications, and leadership.

If you are a high school student who is interested in getting hands-on experience working with clients, building professional relationships, and developing technical skills in digital marketing and web development, we’d love to have you on the Youth Executive Committee.
